Fleabane Daisies

Set of 12 greeting cards with envelopes in a clear gift box, featuring an image of Erigeron spp. (Fleabane Daisy) from the book Lone Star Wildflowers. Cards are blank inside. The back of the card provides the following information about the plant:

Erigeron means “growing old quickly,” referring to how quickly the flowers fade and are replaced by seeds wearing long white fluffy hair, or pappus, on their upper end.  American settlers believed that this plant would keep fleas away from their homes, hence the common name “fleabane”.
